Former UnitedHealthcare CEO Ken Burdick named CEO of LifeStance Health

LifeStance Health, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based virtual and in-person mental healthcare provider, has named Ken Burdick as CEO and chair. In addition, Danish Qureshi has been named president and COO.

LifeStance provides mental healthcare to children, adolescents and adults for a variety of conditions and is home to over 5,000 clinicians operating across 32 states in 600 centers, according to a Sept. 8 news release.

Mr. Burdick succeeds Michael Lester, who is retiring from his role as the company's first CEO. Mr. Lester will continue to serve as a strategic advisor to the company.

Mr. Burick has over 40 year of experience in healthcare, including as CEO of UnitedHealthcare from 2006 to 2008. He most recently served as executive vice president of national markets and products at Centene and was president and CEO of WellCare before it was purchased by Centene.
