Former UnitedHealth VP tapped for Athenahealth C-suite role

EHR vendor Athenahealth named George Hamilton chief corporate strategy and development officer.

Mr. Hamilton previously served as vice president of strategy and business development at UnitedHealth Group, according to a May 9 Athenahealth news release. 

 In his new role, Mr. Hamilton will oversee Athenahealth’s enterprise strategy, corporate development and marketplace partner program teams.
