Mr. Thornton’s background includes time as an executive with Humana, during which he spearheaded Medicare Advantage membership growth for the payer as its head of national growth strategy, according to a March 7 Clover news release. He earlier served as regional CFO and vice president of operations for Humana.
Mr. Thornton most recently worked in the venture capital and private equity sectors, where he provided leadership and advisory services to startups and small and midsize businesses, according to the release.
