CVS names Aetna Medicaid president

CVS Health has named Mark Santos as president of Aetna Medicaid.

Mr. Santos will report to Aetna president Brian Kane and will oversee strategy, operations and growth initiatives for the payer’s 2.6 million Medicaid members across 16 states, according to a Nov. 2 news release.

He has been with Aetna for nearly 20 years and was most recently vice president and head of diversified commercial solutions. He led the company’s re-entry into the individual exchange market in 2022 and has also been head of Aetna’s commercial underwriting organization, president of the New England market, and vice president and head of dental and vision.
