Fred Eppinger has been named chairman of the Centene board of directors, according to an April 3 news release from the payer .
Mr. Eppinger is the CEO of Stewart Information Services, a real estate information, title insurance and transaction management company.
James Dallas said in August that he would retire as chairman of the board prior to the 2023 annual stockholders meeting. He will remain on the board and service as a member of the audit and compliance committee, as well as the value creation committee.
Additionally, Centene said Wayne DeVeydt is assuming the role of chairman of the audit and compliance committee. Both Mr. Eppinger and DeVeydt's new roles were effective as of March 31.
