According to an Oct. 24 news release, Mr. Rakes is plan president and CEO of Peach State Health Plan, Centene’s Georgia subsidiary. He will continue to lead the subsidiary until a replacement is found.
Mr. Rakes joined Centene in 2011, according to his LinkedIn profile. Before leading Peach State Health Plan, Mr. Rakes was Centene’s regional vice president of business development, where he oversaw the launch of plans in California and Pennsylvania.
