CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield has named Anthony Jones as vice president of external affairs.
Mr. Jones was previously director of neighborhood and constituent services for a former Baltimore city council president, according to an Aug. 1 news release.
He also previously served as director of community relations for Healthcare for the Homeless and deputy chief of staff for the Baltimore City Department of Social Services.
