CareFirst BCBS names chief of staff to lead CEO office

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield has named Lester Davis as vice president and chief of staff, a role that will serve “as an extension of the Office of the CEO.”

Mr. Davis will guide strategic initiatives and lead special projects to support the company’s growth and expansion efforts, according to an Aug. 16 news release shared with Becker’s.

Previously, he served as vice president of public affairs at SKDK, a political consulting firm, and spent more than a decade within the Baltimore City government, including as deputy chief of staff in the mayor’s office.
