The Bloomington, Minn.-based payer, an arm of Bright Health Group, offers individual and family, Medicaid and small business health plans in 17 states. Cigna invested $750 million in the payer’s parent company in December 2021.

Bright Health Group declined any further comment on the resignation beyond the SEC filing.
