As a full-time senior fellow, Ms. Brooks-LaSure will focus on protecting healthcare gains made during the Biden administration and “charting a path forward for a more affordable, equitable and efficient healthcare system,” according to a Feb. 14 Century Foundation news release.
Before serving as CMS administrator, Ms. Brooks-LaSure was a policy official in the Obama administration.
Ms. Brooks-LaSure is not the only former Biden-era health official who has recently joined the think tank. Former Health Resources and Services Administration Administrator Carole Johnson joined Century as a senior fellow on Jan. 30.
