Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota has tapped Erin Barney as president of commercial markets and Jamie Reuter, PharmD, as vice president of pharmacy solutions, according to a Sept. 8 news release.
Ms. Barney will supervise strategy and execution of commercial markets for various segments across the state. She previously served as the vice president of network solutions for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association and has over 20 years of leadership experience within the BCBS system.
“Erin [Barney] brings a strategic vision for advancing healthcare, a collaborative approach to leadership and deep expertise of the Blue Cross framework across every state,” said BCBS of Minnesota Chief Growth Officer Chris Fanning.
Dr. Reuter, also a BCBS veteran, will handle strategic development and management of pharmacy products and programs, including Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. Before joining BCBS of Minnesota, he worked on five pharmacy benefit manager transitions, restructured two retail pharmacy chains and served as the director of pharmacy policy at CareFirst BlueCross.
