The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association has named John Banta as vice president, national employee benefits administration and Blue Venture Fund.
Mr. Banta joined the company in 2014 and most recently served as interim vice president, according to an Aug. 8 news release.
He will be responsible for development and implementation of investments in employee benefits and healthcare investments.
NEBA is the company's retirement and disability benefit program for the employees of the 34 BCBS companies' under the association's umbrella. The Blue Venture Fund is a venture capital program that invests in innovative healthcare companies.
