Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona has tapped Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone for a vice president role overseeing the payer's community programs and charitable giving, CBS 5 reported Dec. 14.
Sheriff Penzone is expected to step down and transition to his VP role in the new year, according to the report.
He first started with the Phoenix Police in 1988 and took the top law enforcement role in Maricopa County following Joe Arpaio's departure in 2017.
