AHIP president Matt Eyles to step down in October

AHIP President and CEO Matt Eyles plans to resign from the trade association, effective Oct. 2.

In a May 24 news release, the organization said it will conduct a national search for the next leader. 

Mr. Eyles has led the trade association representing the health insurance industry since 2018. He joined AHIP in 2015, previously serving as chief operating officer and executive vice president for policy and regulatory affairs. 

“Leading AHIP has been the professional honor of a lifetime,” Mr. Eyles said in a news release. “I am eager to watch AHIP and our industry leaders continue to improve health coverage, care, and affordability for consumers, businesses, and our nation. Down the road, I look forward to working on new pathways and collaborations to make our healthcare system better for everyone.”
