Aetna’s Kentucky Medicaid plan appoints CEO

Aetna Better Health of Kentucky named Chris Lindy as its new CEO, according to a Jan. 14 LinkedIn post from Jennifer Ruehl Nachreiner, the plan’s COO.

Mr. Lindy will oversee health plan operations, drive clinical outcomes, establish partnerships and a network strategy, direct financial performance, and ensure regulatory compliance. He will also work on the plan’s Supporting Kentucky Youth program.

Mr. Lindy is joining the organization after serving as a vice president at CareSource since 2023. Previously, he held associate vice president and CFO roles for Humana’s group businesses.

Aetna Better Health of Kentucky, historically one of the top-performing managed Medicaid plans in the state, serves about 230,000 individuals and families.
