Kyu Rhee, MD, has joined the medical advisory board at Found, which offers a virtual weight-loss program, including GLP-1 prescriptions.
Dr. Rhee served as Aetna's chief medical officer at CVS Health from 2021 to earlier this year. At Found, he will help support partnerships with employers and health plans, according to a June 1 news release.
"We have received a great deal of inbound interest from employers and health plans concerned about the downstream impact of obesity on their populations, as well as the rapidly increasing cost burden associated with inappropriate and ineffective GLP-1 utilization," Found CEO Sarah Jones Simmer said. "We have long known that to truly expand access to clinically superior obesity care, we would need to partner with payors."
