Aetna names Medicare chief medical officer

Aetna has named Ali Khan, MD, as chief medical officer for Medicare and dual-eligible beneficiaries.

Dr. Khan was previously chief medical officer of Oak Street Health. The older-adult focused primary care company was acquired by CVS Health in 2022. He became Oak Street’s executive medical director in 2019, according to his LinkedIn profile. 

“As we continue to provide holistic, high-quality and patient centric care, Dr. Khan and his team will partner closely with Aetna’s Medicare Advantage business to drive impactful clinical results for our older adult members,” Aetna’s Chief Medical Officer Cathy Moffitt, MD, wrote on LinkedIn April 2.
