Marietta, Ga.-based Wellstar Health System will be back in network with UnitedHealthcare starting July 1, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported June 27.
The payer and provider were unable to reach a contract in the fall, and Wellstar had been out of network since, according to the report. About 80,000 patients were affected.
The new contract is a multiyear agreement, though neither side specified the deal's end date, according to the report.
The new contract applies to UnitedHealthcare enrollees in employer-sponsored, individual and Medicare Advantage plans, according to the report. The deal also expands access to Wellstar skilled nursing facilities, home health and hospice care.
