The agreement will allow patients covered by UnitedHealthcare to continue receiving in-network care at UVM Health’s facilities in Vermont and northern New York until April 2026, according to the report. The current contract was set to end March 1 if no deal was agreed upon.

About 2,660 residents receive coverage through UnitedHealthcare, but it is unclear how many other family members are insured on those plans, a UVM Health spokesperson told the outlet.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
