UnitedHealthcare, UNC Health strike deal

Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Health and UnitedHealthcare agreed to a new multi-year contract just days before their current contract was set to expire.

The new deal covers all UnitedHealthcare commercial, individual exchange and Medicare Advantage plans, according to a March 28 UNC Health news release. 

The organizations’ contract was set to expire April 1, according to the release.
