Bend, Ore.-based St. Charles Health System will remain in network with PacificSource, according to a Nov. 13 news release.

The commercial contract will last for two years, whereas the Medicare Advantage contract will last for one year. St. Charles has already dropped Humana and Centene MA plans and has floated the idea of leaving all of them.

“We recognize that uncertainty about insurance coverage can cause stress for our patients, especially given state and national trends in declining Medicare Advantage options,” St. Charles CFO Matt Swafford said. “Negotiations like these are an important part of the overall process that ensures St. Charles can continue to provide access to health care services locally for the communities we serve.”
