Montana to award state health plan to BCBS

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana has been selected again by the state to administer its employee health plan, which covers nearly 28,000 people.

The HCSC company was awarded a three-year contract in 2022, but the state reopened its contract procurement process early amid questions that not all bidders had a full understanding of the requirements, KTVH reported June 25. 

The new three-year contract with BCBS begins in 2025.
