The state’s health and human services department is implementing new requirements for network adequacy and timely access to care, according to an Aug. 22 news release.
Plans bidding for the contracts will also be evaluated on if they have achieved NCQA’s health equity accreditation, their investment in and engagement with community organizations, and their efforts to increase childhood vaccination rates.
Bids for the contract are due in January, and the new contracts will take effect Oct. 1, 2024.
