The agreement is pending an amendment signature, according to the report. Under the agreement, patients with Humana commercial plans and Medicare Advantage PPO individual and group plans will remain in network at the Nashville, Tenn.-based health system.
Among those who would have been affected by the split were 2,000 retired Nashville city government employees who are enrolled in Humana’s Medicare Advantage plans. Nashville, Tenn., Mayor John Cooper in January urged expedited negotiations to avoid a disruption in coverage. Mr. Cooper said he was pleased an agreement was reached, according to the report.
