Editor’s note: BCBS Arizona and HonorHealth reached an agreement on July 31.

Original article:

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and Scottsdale-based HonorHealth will go out of network on Aug. 1 without a new contract in place.

The contract is for services provided at any HonorHealth facility and for all employed physicians at the health system. HonorHealth includes nine acute-care hospitals and more than 200 clinic locations.

The contract break will affect commercial and Medicare Advantage plans, but not Medicaid.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
