Insurer Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, a subsidiary of Point32Health, and Brewer, Maine-based Northern Light Health are partnering to expand the Maine’s Choice Plus product across the state, available on the ACA marketplace, according to a Nov. 17 news release.
Maine’s Choice Plus is a tiered network product, and Northern Light providers will now be available to members at the lowest cost.
“We are excited to expand our long-standing partnership with Northern Light Health, as both our organizations are committed to improving the health of our communities,” said Kate Skouteris, vice president of individual and small group products at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. “This collaboration is an example of what can be done when providers and payers collaborate to benefit their members and patients.”
James Rohrbaugh, executive vice president and CFO at Northern Light Health, called the agreement “a win.” The health system offers more than 1,000 providers across Maine.
