Florida system’s primary care physicians splitting with BCBS Medicare Advantage 

Fort Myers, Fla.-based Lee Health’s Physician Group primary care providers will be out of network with Florida Blue’s Medicare Advantage plans by September.

Lee Health’s six hospitals and specialists will remain in the Florida Blue MA network, the system said on its website.

Lee Health has more than 950 primary and specialty care physicians and advanced practitioners across more than 100 facilities in southwest Florida. Florida Blue is the state’s largest health insurer and has around 250,000 MA members, according to CMS.
