UnitedHealthcare and New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian have until the end of April before members lose access, according to both organizations.
In March, the organizations extended in-network access through April 30 for UHC members in commercial plans, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage and New York’s Essential Plan, as negotiations continued. NewYork-Presbyterian has been out of network for UHC individual family plan members since the beginning of 2026.
Should negotiations fail, NewYork-Presbyterian hospitals and practices under its medical groups will go out of network for most UHC plan members May 1.
