ConnectiCare has reached a new contract with Prospect Medical Holdings, avoiding a split that would have affected 6,500 beneficiaries, the Hartford Business Journal reported Feb. 27.
The payer was scheduled to split with Prospect Medical — the parent company of three Connecticut hospitals — if a new deal was not reached by March 1, according to the report.
There will be no lapse in coverage, according to the report. Details of the contract weren't disclosed.
