The contract has an option for two one-year renewals, according to a March 9 Centene news release.

Managed Health Services, the subsidiary, will continue serving children up to age 19 who are members of the Indiana Health Coverage Programs, as well as pregnant women. It will also continue serving adults ages 19 to 64 through the Healthy Indiana Plan Medicaid alternative program.

“For more than 25 years, MHS has been committed to increasing access to high-quality healthcare for Hoosiers,” said Brent Layton, Centene’s president and COO. “We look forward to further strengthening our relationship with the state, our network of providers and community partners as we deliver patient-focused care and improve health outcomes while reducing the cost of healthcare delivery in Indiana.”
