Centene snags Texas Medicaid contract for aged, blind, disabled population

Centene subsidiary Superior HealthPlan was awarded a new six-year contract to administer Texas’ Medicaid coverage for the aged, blind and disabled population.

Superior HealthPlan has held contracts to administer the program since 2007, according to a July 26 news release. 

The new contract will add the Austin region to Superior HealthPlan’s coverage area and remove the San Antonio region.
