The termination will affect about 1,000 members who use the Ohio health insurance marketplace, according to the report. It does not affect CareSource’s Medicaid members.
A CareSource spokesperson told the Enquirer the sides were unable to reach an agreement on a marketplace contract. A hospital spokesperson said they have contacted the patients affected and are working with them to identify care options and minimize the financial burden.
The termination leaves Cincinnati Children’s without an in-network Ohio marketplace provider, according to the report.
