Blue Shield of California and Fresno-based Community Medical Centers have reached a new contract agreement, ending a more than four month network break.

The agreement restores in-network access for the insurer’s HMO, PPO, Medicare Advantage and ASO members across Community’s hospital and physician network, according to a June 23 news release.

The split had been in effect since Feb. 1 for Community Regional Medical Center, Clovis Community Hospital, Fresno Heart and Surgical Hospital and the affiliated physician group Community Health Partners.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
