Aetna, Dignity cut ties across California, Arizona, Nevada

Aetna's commercial and Medicare Advantage plans went out of network with Dignity Health facilities in California, Arizona and Nevada on April 4.

San Francisco-based Dignity operates 41 hospitals in California, Arizona, and Nevada, along with medical clinics and groups. Dignity also operates Pacific Central Coast Health Centers, which comprises nearly 50 clinics. Some provider agreements remain in place, which are listed here.

"Aetna has been unwilling to agree to responsible terms that help address the unprecedented financial challenges experienced by Dignity Health over the last several years," the health system wrote on its website.

"While our contract with Dignity Health has ended, we are continuing our discussions in hopes of reaching an agreement that brings Dignity Health facilities and physicians back into our network," an Aetna spokesperson told the San Luis Obispo Tribune
