From UnitedHealthcare to Anthem and Mayo Clinic to Wellstar Health System, these are five network contracts recently inked between payers and providers:
Mayo, UnitedHealthcare ink contract for Medicare Advantage members
Beginning Jan. 1, UnitedHealthcare's Medicare Advantage members will be in network at Mayo Clinic facilities in the Midwest under a new contract agreement between the two organizations. Under the new contract, UnitedHealthcare's commercial plans for employers and individuals will remain in network with the clinic.
UnitedHealthcare, Wellstar reach new agreement
As of July 1, Marietta, Ga.-based Wellstar Health System is back in network with UnitedHealthcare after the two were unable to reach an agreement last fall. About 80,000 patients were affected, and the new contract is a multiyear agreement.
Maine provider, Anthem agree to new contract
Scarborough, Maine-based Coastal Women's Healthcare and Anthem (now Elevance Health) reached an agreement on a new contract, Maine Public Radio reported June 22. The disagreement originally arose over reimbursement rates, and the provider was set to go out of network by August.
Hill Country Memorial, BCBS Texas ink contract agreement
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas and Fredericksburg-based Hill Country Memorial Hospital reached a contract agreement June 16 to keep the hospital in network. The agreement comes after months of negotiations and will continue the hospital's participation in the payer's PPO/POS, Blue Essentials and Traditional Indemnity networks, with additional networks to come.
U of Vermont Health Network, UnitedHealthcare strike new contract
The University of Vermont Health Network in Burlington and UnitedHealthcare reached an agreement on a new contract, VTDigger reported May 27. The contract between the two was set to expire April 1, but the sides extended the contract several times during negotiations until an agreement was reached.
