The current contract was set to expire May 1, according to the report. BCBS will continue to pay Stillwater Medical at the current contract rate.
“This will allow our patients and community partners the time needed to make future health plan benefit decisions while ensuring continued access to our network of physicians, providers and team,” a Stillwater Medical spokesperson told the outlet in a statement.
