Elevance Health closes BioPlus acquisition

Elevance Health has closed its acquisition of specialty pharmacy BioPlus.

The company plans to expand BioPlus’ service models to more complex disease treatment, Elevance Health said in a Feb. 15 news release. 

BioPlus, a division of pharmaceutical company CarepathRx, provides specialty pharmacy management for complex conditions such as cancer, multiple sclerosis and autoimmune diseases. 

Elevance Health said it would acquire BioPlus Nov. 9. The specialty pharmacy will operate as part of its pharmaceutical benefit manager, CarelonRx.
