Rhode Island insurance commissioner to depart

Rhode Island Insurance Commissioner Patrick Tigue is stepping down Dec. 2 after two years on the job, Providence Business News reported Nov. 29.

Previously, Mr. Tigue was director of the state’s $2.5 billion Medicaid program. He’s also held several leadership positions at Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island. 

According to PBN, the commissioner is looking for new opportunities outside of government.
