According to a Nov. 14 news release, patients who have access to MDLive through their health plan will be able to use the new chronic condition management program for hypertension beginning in 2023. The telehealth service plans to add other conditions throughout the year.

Patients will develop a treatment plan with an MDLive physician. In between visits, providers will track patients’ progress through remote monitoring with devices such as blood pressure cuffs and glucose monitors, according to the release.

Evernorthacquired MDLive in April 2021.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 17–19 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
