The organizations receiving funding, support and consultation from Oscar Health are:
- Bexa Equity Alliance, a Los Angeles-based organization that works to provide early breast cancer detection for underserved communities.
- Light of the World Clinic, which provides free healthcare to underserved and uninsured communities of color in Broward County, Fla.
- Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project, which helps low-income individuals access reproductive care.
The grants are part of Oscar Health’s Culturally Competent Care Program, launched in 2021.
“We are very thrilled to acknowledge this year’s Culturally Competent Care Program recipients for the incredible work they’re doing,” Oscar Health CEO Mario Schlosser said in a news release. “At Oscar, we share their commitment to making healthcare both affordable and accessible to all, especially to those in underserved communities.”
