MetroPlusHealth names new chief operating officer

MetroPlusHealth promoted Lila Benayoun to chief operating officer, the insurer said Sept. 21.

Ms. Benayoun has served as the company’s deputy chief operating officer since 2021, according to a news release.

MetroPlusHealth is a municipally owned nonprofit insurer that provides low- or no-cost insurance to 675,000 people in New York City. 

“I am honored to support the plan’s mission of providing affordable, inclusive, person-centered, quality-driven care,” Ms. Benayoun said in the news release. “I am committed to delivering top-notch operational and service excellence that would allow us to continue to improve the lives and communities of the many New Yorkers we serve.”
