Health Care Service Corp. expanding Teladoc care services in Illinois, Texas

Health Care Service Corp. is expanding its Teladoc-powered virtual primary care to some midsize and large employer groups in Illinois and Texas for 2023.

Though called a virtual primary care program, the new offering includes virtual urgent care, behavioral health and dermatology, according to a Sept. 6 news release.

The parent company of BCBS Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas cited the need to increase care access and lower wait times for its members across diverse geographies.
