Previously, Mr. Fernandez was senior vice president of Humana’s Medicare West business, where he led Medicare Advantage operations covering 1 million members across 17 states, according to an Aug. 3 news release.
Ochsner Health Plan launched last year in Louisiana and began enrolling people in Medicare Advantage plans in October. The plan is integrated with Ochsner Health’s network of providers, which features 4,500 physicians and 90 medical specialties.
