Providence Health Plan names new COO

Providence Health Plan has named Cheryl Morrison-Bornstein as COO, effective immediately.

Ms. Morrison-Bornstein will oversee day-to-day operational and administrative functions and will design operating models that support the Portland, Ore.-based nonprofit organization’s overall growth strategy, according to a June 6 news release.

Previously, Ms. Morrison-Bornstein oversaw the launch of a commercial self-funded employer strategy and operating model at Blue Shield of California and served as the vice president of client growth strategy at UnitedHealth Group’s OptumRx.
