The new legislation makes Nevada the second state to enact a public health insurance option after Washington.
“By leveraging the state’s existing health care infrastructure and reducing costs, it is my hope that Nevadans will have improved access to comprehensive insurance,” Mr. Sisolak told the publication.
Nevada lawmakers initially proposed the public option concept in 2017, the article said.
