Results from the poll, released May 6, are based on a web survey that 3,870 U.S. adults took from March 15-21.
Fear of losing health insurance was more pronounced among Black workers. Black workers (21 percent) were more likely to say they’ll stay in a job they don’t want just to keep their health benefits than white workers (14 percent).
Among all survey respondents, more than half (53 percent) said they were either “concerned” or “very concerned” the cost of healthcare services would increase so much that they’d no longer be able to afford it.
