The lawsuit, which was filed on behalf of 11 surgical centers and their patients and a claims filing service, alleges the health insurer cut the payment rates for out-of-network physicians but kept charging customers as if the company was still making the higher payouts, according to the report.
Mr. Oxendine is seeking class-action status for his lawsuit.
