Mr. Scott held the role for about eight months after being appointed CEO of Texas Health Aetna in February. The joint venture was formed in 2017.
Texas Health Aetna said Genevieve Caruncho-Simpson is serving as the venture’s interim CEO while a search for a new leader continues.
In a March interview with Becker’s, Mr. Scott said he was excited about heading up an integrated provider-payer health plan. Texas Health Aetna did not provide a reason for Mr. Scott’s departure.
