Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana has named Brian Keller president and CEO, effective Dec. 1.

Mr. Keller will succeed Bryan Camerlinck, who announced his planned retirement earlier this year. Mr. Camerlinck will remain president and CEO through Nov. 30 to support the leadership transition, according to an Oct. 13 Louisiana Blue news release.

Mr. Keller, a New Orleans native, has spent more than 30 years at Louisiana Blue. He currently serves as executive vice president and chief growth officer, where he oversees statewide growth, organizational performance and long-term strategy across commercial, individual and Medicare lines of business. He also leads the insurer’s health services portfolio, including provider contracting, health improvement and cost-of-care strategies.

He joined the company in 1995 and served as senior vice president and chief marketing officer from 2007 to 2024. Earlier in his tenure, he held several individual and group sales leadership roles, including vice president of individual sales and marketing.
