Commonwealth Care Alliance has named Pablo Hernandez, MD, as vice president and chief medical officer.
Dr. Hernandez’s career has focused on healthcare for individuals who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid, according to an Aug. 11 news release. Most recently, he was CMO at an FQHC in Worcester, Mass., and he previously served as senior medical director at WellSense Health Plan.
Commonwealth Care Alliance was purchased by CareSource in 2025. The insurer has about 50,000 members and predominantly serves dually eligible individuals.
